Lynton is up on the cliffs above Lynmouth and the beach.There is a chairlift down the cliff or a steep path.Our campsite was above Lynton,1 mile down an extremely steep path or 2 1/2 miles of windy track through the Valley of the Rocks.We did both down to Lynton.The 1 miler was the easiest.We were on goat tracks let me tell you with a very long drop if you went wrong.Some of the bracken was waist height so we had to push it out of the way to see the small track.But the views were fantastic.I was relieved to get to solid paths.
