The tide was just coming in as we got there,so we watched as some of the boats were being made ready to go out once there was sufficient water for them

We are standing on the cliffs at Folkstone looking down onto part of the beach that has recently had a lot of money spent on it and looks very splendid indeed.Just need some heat and I'm sure it will be used

Now we are on the most famous cliffs in England.Again a beautiful day and I was not going to get any nearer to the edge.But it was a lovely walk with views of Dover Castle one way and the port another,that had massive ships in and the channel ferries going across to France etc

This is a replica of a ducking chair.It was used to punish nagging wives by ducking them in the putrid water that was also for emptying sewage into

Yes we went under that bridge.This is one of the oldest bridges that is still used for traffic.The few old bridges that are left have been pedestrianised.

We went on a river trip in a row boat with a very fit young, Irish
guy that gave us the history of the city

We only got as far as the gates of Canterbury Cathedral, we didnt have time to go into the cathedral itself

This is one of the houses,a bit newer maybe but in keeping with the village thats hundreds of years old

We found a really quaint Tudor village that people still live or work in.This is a real eastate "office"

Flowers

Gotta like the flowers.We stayed Just outside Gt Yarmouth on yet another race course,but right in the middle this time.On our 1st night there,it was Ladies Night at the races.We paid half price to get in,(my 1st races) and had a ball.We betted on all 6 races,won 1 and came second on another.There was a great atmosphere,but it was funny watching the horses on the big screen,run around the course with all the vans etc on view.A boy band came on after the races ended,people were singing and dancing,really good.

This is an amphibious craft that drives across the sand until it gets to water and then becomes a boat.The tides go out for a very long way,sometimes you can't even see the waters edge.It also comes in very quickly

This is where we picked the boat up from.The windmill is a museum about the area.We climbed to the top for great views

Love the beach huts.Some occasionally come up for sale about 15 thousand pounds,30 thousand dollars approx
