From Chester we caught a bus to Birkenhead and on it through the Mersey Tunnel to Liverpool. We strolled

along the road where the Beatles made their name, waved to the Liver birds on the top of their building, took a topless bus around the sites where Pat gave us a personnel narration of every tourist spot and every pub he had ever drunk in ( they wern't busy), but interesting enough, part of Albert Docks was built from the stones of the demolished Liverpool Castle, they get value for their brass up here.
Did ya see the yellow submarine?
